COLOR: Black with Brown
The original designers of the 990 were tasked with creating the best running shoe on the market. The finished product proved more than satisfactory. When the 990 first hit shelves in 1982, it featured an elegant, subdued gray and a triple-digit price tag—unheard of at the time. For avid runners and trendsetters alike, the 990 set the standard for quality and good taste. The model has been updated since 1982, and color options have expanded, but the aura of the 990 status symbol has never wavered. In short, the 990 is so perfect, we've never stopped making it. The 990v3, made in the USA, features a pigskin suede, nubuck, and mesh upper, and an ENCAP midsole. New Balance footwear made in the USA contains 70% or more domestic content. MADE represents a limited portion of New Balance product sales in the United States.
